Big Loud Shirt Industries is an independently owned and operated music publishing company that was established in 2003 by multiple award winning songwriter and producer, Craig Wiseman. Our home office is based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Since our launch in 2003, Big Loud Shirt has achieved thirteen #1 hit singles and brought home Grammy awards for Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” and Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You Were Dying,” while also garnering three other Grammy nominations including George Strait’s “I Saw God Today.” In addition, songs written by Big Loud Shirt writers have won 14 ASCAP performance awards, a BMI performance award, ASCAP Song Of The Year awards, People’s Choice Best Country Song, NSAI “Songs I Wish I’d Written” and ACM and CMA Song of the Year awards. Also, Wiseman has been named ASCAP Songwriter Of The Year on three separate occasions.
Billboard magazine recently recognized Big Loud Shirt as one of the nation’s top ten publishing companies based on radio airplay. Two of our Big Loud Shirt writers have also been ranked among the top Country songwriters by Billboard throughout the past few years.
Of our award-winning songs, “Live Like You Were Dying,” recorded by Tim McGraw and co-written by Wiseman, attained a solid #1 status for 7 weeks straight on the US Billboard country music charts. The Rodney Clawson penned, “I Saw God Today” earned a Grammy nomination and gave George Strait his 56th #1 song.
Big Loud Shirt’s writers have also written #1 songs for Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes, George Strait, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Beverly Knight, Blake Shelton, 33 Miles and Toby Keith. We have also had cuts with Martina McBride, Brooks & Dunn, Plain White T’s, Daughtry, Hinder, Katharine McPhee, Gary Allan, Kellie Pickler and Boyzone.
Big Loud Shirt works closely with several music licensing companies and has landed songs on networks: ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CW, MTV, CMT and numerous others, most notably on shows such as, American Idol, Extreme Home Makeover, Dancing With The Stars & Oprah. As well as uses in popular games like Guitar Hero, Rockband & Pop Guitar. In 2008, Wiseman penned the end credit song for the film, “Billy Graham: The Early Years” and Kenny Chesney used the song “Ain’t Back Yet” to close out his Summertime In 3-D movie.
