Craig Wiseman

Craig Wiseman is one of today’s most celebrated songwriters and has played a significant role in shaping Country music.  Craig has been named ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year in 2003, 2005 & 2007.  In 2005, he won a Grammy for Best Country Song for Tim McGraw’s 10 week #1, “Live Like You Were Dying.”  He also took home the CMA & ACM Song Of The Year awards for “Live Like You Were Dying”and in the following year for Brooks & Dunn’s “Believe.”   NSAI honored Craig as the Songwriter of the Decade at their 2009 awards ceremony.

In the fall of 2003, Craig saw his dream of opening his own publishing company come true when Big Loud Shirt opened its doors.  Within nine short years, Big Loud Shirt has had 65 singles & eighteen #1’s, with Wiseman penning eleven of the twenty four #1’s including Kenny Chesney’s “Summertime”,Toby Keith’s “Love Me If You Can”,Blake Shelton’s “Hillbilly Bone,” featuring Trace Adkins and most recently the rock band, Three Days Grace’s “Chalk Outline.”  Some other major recording acts who have recorded Craig’s songs include Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Montgomery Gentry, Phil Vassar, LeAnn Rimes, Boyzone & Dolly Parton.

Another notable accomplishment was Craig adding the title ‘author’ to his list.  His book, “Live Like You Were Dying” topped the New York Times bestseller list in 2004.  He also wrote a follow-up journal to accompany the book that lead into a praise and worship campaign used throughout churches all over the United States.  Continuing the new found role of author, Craig wrote the book, “A Baby Changes Everything” to go along with the Faith Hill single that topped the #1 AC charts during Christmas 2008.  In the fall of 2007, Craig even launched into reality TV, with the GAC series, The Hitmen Of Music Row.

At the 2012 Grammy awards, Craig became a nominee as a producer for work he did on Blake Shelton’s “Red River Blue.”  Craig helped co-produce as well as wrote on the songs “Hey” and “Get Some.”  He also co-produced Sarah Buxton’s debut album for Lyric Street in 2006.

To date, Craig has had well over 300 cuts, 100 singles & 21 #1’s.
